Wish list Wednesday; Missguided
Okay so like I said in yesterday's blogpost, I'm going to try something different and new today in terms of my style of blogging, as not only is my photographer off shopping in Nott's today but I'm also mega busy with the preparation of packing things up for moving back up to Yorkshire for second year next weekend so now is a good a time as any to try something a little knew and I'm hoping this will be a success and stick for the the next few weeks but also the first few weeks at the beginning of ever knew fashion season. So with us just being in the early days of September and the weather starting to get colder, different brands Autumn/Winter collections are starting to appear, so I decided it would be just as inspirational to you for me to put together a wish list from certain brands that I like and enjoy shopping from of the their new seasons must haves from my point of view, hence the name of today's blogpost " Wish list Wednesday" I hope to do this type/style of a blogpost every Wednesday for the next few weeks or so highlighting the key trends, colours and styles for this Autumn/Winter, which hopefully just gives the blog a nice little breakup from OOTD posts and will be something that you'll enjoy reading and look forward to viewing every week at the beginning of a new season.
So now I've explained what I'm attempting/ trying to achieve with this whole "Wish list Wednesday" which is really self explanatory I suppose, now's time to get down to the nitty gritty and the first brand/company on my wish list Wednesday list is going to be Missguided! Now I know that not everyone enjoys shopping online, but when Missguided is a brand that you can only buy from online and they have soooo many hidden gems, emphasis on the so, that you'll need and not just want in your wardrobe this coming season, it's very hard not to resist temptation and cave in to online shopping. Missguided is one of my favourite online retailers alongside Asos and I can honestly say I have had some really nice garments from them over the years, infact even my bridesmaids dress that I wore a few weekends back was from here and I loved wearing it! So whatever occasion or garment you're looking for Missguided is the place to go, with this in mind here's my Missguided wish list for the upcoming Autumn season;
So if you follow Missguided on any type of social media such as Facebook, twitter or Instagram you'll have seen this seasons add campaign and probably recognise this skirt/outfit straight away. Now this was a skirt that I loved almost instantly when I saw it and could easily be worn for so many different occasions such as to uni, costa with friends, out for a friends birthday the possibilities are endless. Following the monochrome trend, this A-Line skirt wouldn't look out of place in your Autumn wardrobe this year and is a piece that is bang on trend plus at £14.99 can you really grumble? I think not.
Next is this beauty of a skirt which I can not express enough is something which I am over the moon to have found whilst scrolling through the "New In" garments on the Missguided website, as when I was away a few weeks back I fell in love with a skirt exactly the same as this, same style, same colour, it could infact be its replica, in River Island but for DOUBLE the price that Missguided is selling it at! I kid you not this skirt is probably one of the best bargains I've found recently and the temptation is a little too strong to resist buying his Metallic number! Although metallic garments aren't everybody's cup of tea, we are seeing more and more silver/gold metallic Mini skirts on the High-street which can only mean one thing, they're a must buy this season and who am I to say no to that?
Now as you're all aware I'm sure I have a love for tartan, especially when it comes to this time of year! I was never a huge fan of it until last year and I just discovered that its so easy to wear and pair of neutral coloured garments that I had in my wardrobe and also injected that little bit of colour into an outfit and this top is no exception. The high-necked style of this top is one that I love and the colour, like I've already said, will instantly inject that little bit of colour into your outfit that your perhaps missing plus with the price you can't really ask for anything more.
Pleats in skirts are a must do this season, they're like one of the rules for this Autumn/Winter that you must follow and I must say that I am willing to oblige to this fashion rule if I can find more skirts like this! Not only do I love the colour, which is strange for me because I don't very often buy grey items of clothing, but the length and style just is bang on trend this season. Paired with a black fluffy jumper for uni during the day or an eyelash bralet and a pair of heels with a clutch to go out in at night, it's easy to say I would get my wear out of this skirt, plus once again, the price of this garment isn't something to grumble at!
Now this dress is a perfect take on the laced, pastel coloured dresses that we saw on the High-street in the Topshop store windows earlier this year, just adapted in style for the colder Autumn season. Personally mint is a colour that I don't know if I could get away with myself, but the style is definitely something which I love. The simplicity of the dress makes it so easy to wear dressed down or dressed up but the cut out back is one of the elements to this dress which I really love as it just adds something different and fresh to an otherwise rather simple dress style and would be perfect for those more dressy up occasions.
Like with tartan, I think you all know that I'm a sucker for a pair of high-waisted jeans and although some people say jeans are just a pair of jeans, I've once again found myself really loving this pair of light grey high-waisted skinny jeans. I don't know what it is about this particular pair, but they look almost seude like and extra comfy, which when you're in a pair of skinny's all day you definitely need. Plus grey skinny jeans are definitely one of the upcoming seasons must have's, so you'll not only stay warm wearing these in the colder months but you'll also be bang on trend once again.
And finally last but certainly not least, is this A-Line skirt which comes in an array of pastel colours and is one of the first garments that I put on my Missguided wishlist for this post! This skirt alike the others above could so easily been worn either day or night, for a casual or formal occasion and wouldn't look out of place! Although a little pricey than the others I really do love the shape, style and design of this skirt and feel like it would definitely inject some colour into my Autumn/Winter wardrobe.
So that's it, that's my Missguided Autumn Wednesday Wish list! Let me know what you think of this new style idea for the first few Wednesday's of every new season and i'll try and keep it a thing throughout the year, thanks once again.
