London Fashion Week breakdown

So anyone whose anyone, well whose anyone in the fashion industry or interested in the ins and outs of the fashion world, will know that this past week London has been home to one of the yearly events that every fashionista has in their calender; London Fashion Week! Every year Fashion week hits the stages of the five fashion capitals of the world; Milan, New York, Berlin, Paris and of course London which is usually followed by further fashion festivities such as London Fashion Weekend. Twice a year brands from the top end of the fashion spectrum right down to up and coming designers and brands get the chance to showcase next season's hottest trends and designs and this week was no exception for London's Fashion week! London was the centre stage for showcasing deigns, trends and styles for Spring/Summer 2015 from a variety of different designers and brands at both ends of the spectrum including Burberry, House of Holland and Topshop amongst several other household designer names.

With London's Fashion Week having come and gone just a few days ago I thought it was only right to dedicate a blogpost to the fabulous event and also London Fashion Weekend which one of my flat mates and close girl friends was lucky enough to attend this weekend thanks to her loving boyfriend taking her away for the weekend and buying tickets to see a show or two, now does everyone want a boyfriend that does this or is it just me? Anyway she came back with loads of bargains including having bagged herself an ELLE magazine yearly proscription for only £12! so yes I was super jealous and if anyone would like to take me next year I would be hugely grateful and would probably love you for a good few months atleast!

Anyway putting my jealousy to the side, in today's blogpost I'm going to talk about what we're seeing on the catwalks for Spring/Summer 15 and see how trends and styles along with colour pallets and shapes have trickled down from the higher more luxurious fashion brands such as Burberry, and have made an input on the high-street brands, which we can actually afford, such as Topshop and Boohoo. Now I know and understand that we've just said goodbye to all our summer favourites and pushed them to the back of our wardrobes and draws until the weather is once again warm enough for them to be worn and put back at the from of our wardrobes again but it would be wrong not to have just a little bit of a sneak peak at what next year's Spring/Summer collections have to offer us! With this in mind here's just a few of my favourite pics from London's Fashion Week and Weekend which I can see being a hit next season!

So the first brand which caught my eyes whilst flicking through the variety of different  collections which were shown during both London's fashion week and weekend was a brand which always seems to come out on top and definitely has been around long enough to understand the ins and outs of the fashion world; Burberry. Now this will sound bad but I was never really a big fashion week/fashion follower until I stared uni last September and my design teacher of the time put Burberry's Spring/Summer 14 Prorsum catwalk show at London Fashion Week last September, which did one of two things one being I've been an avid follower of Burberry ever since and two I am definitely now an avid fashion show goer and lover, if there's a fashion show going on within a reasonable traveling distant I'll definitely be attending!

Burberry has once again indulged us with some amazing designs for the upcoming years Spring/Summer collections and I can personally say they have definitely not disappointed me in anyway possible; the tie dye/ dip dye and sheer fabric combination is something which stood out to me immediately and this is definitely one trend/style which I hope to see being trickled down into the High-Street brand's designs for this Spring/Summer so I shall definitely be keeping my eye out for Burberryesque look alike garments in stores after Christmas. Once again like last year's Spring/Summer collection Burberry have kept their collection simple and elegant making the colour of the garment's speak on it's own and stand out more and if this is Spring/Summer 2015's colour pallet I will oblige willingly!

Next is a high-street favourite and although they're not a fully fledged newbie to the London Fashion Week/Weekend, this is the first time that Topshop has made rather a massive impact into this years festivities, many say this may be thanks to the front woman of their recent Autumn/Winter campaign whose no other than Cara Delevingne whom also was the hot point of topic in recent news articles covering Topshop's Unique Spring/Summer 2015 collection/catwalk show at London Fashion Week this weekend.

To see such a well known named high-street brand such as Topshop doing so well at events which are major dates within the Fashion calender is something which I love to see, as I know the clothes which you see walking down the catwalk will be in stores worldwide and available for me to buy/purchase in their stores or online come February/March time, which, lets face facts, is a little bit more realistic to dream of then getting my hands on a Burberry dress for next Spring/Summer! Once again we see the pastel shades coming through within Spring/Summer 2015 collections meaning that the little pastel coloured shirts, blouses and tops we purchased this year wont go to waste and also stripes seem to once again be a very prominent trend within Topshop's collection for our months of supposedly warmer weather, so its a win win situation for me all around because by now everybody should know that I'm a lover of both the pastel coloured and stripe trends.

Finally the last brand which seemed to stand out to me personally just because of my own taste and opinion when it comes to fashion and clothes is Mulberry. Now, alike Burberry, Mulberry is a brand which never seems to disappoint me and I think it is honestly because they're a more classic/elegant brand which keeps their designs clean and simple and their collection for next years Spring/Summer seems to be a perfect example of this.

The clean cut and crisp silhouette style of Mulberry's collection is just one of things which drew me in to this particular collection, that and I am rather partial to Mulberry as a brand in whole, simply because I could imagine myself wearing a similar style/pattern which all these garments seem to have and isn't that the point with fashion? You're suppose to be able to picture yourself in similar styles and designs which end up in High-street shops due to the styles and trends having trickled down from the bigger brands such as Mulberry, because lets face facts, we can't all afford the designer price tag!

So that's my own personal favourites from last week and weekends London Fashion week and I can safely say I can't wait to start shopping and experimenting with next Spring/Summers styles, trends, colour pallets and silhouettes! Let me know what were your favourite collections from last weeks London Fashion week.
