Black Florals

So I'm back again today with yet another blogpost and I can honestly say I've never enjoyed blogging as much as I am right now, but I think this is probably because it's the only fashion related  thing that I've got going on right now because even though I've moved back up to Huddersfield for second year, I don't start Uni properly again until the 29th of this month and the first day back I'm on a trip to London for some tailoring research, which I'm not complaining about but I honestly am just so ready to get stuck back into second year; although I'll probably be saying otherwise in a few months time when I've got my December deadlines fastly approaching whilst trying to fit in Halloween and bonfire night! But anyway for now, this means that the blog is going to continue to get the attention that it's been getting all summer and then some!

Anyway moving onto the important stuff and the main reason why I even write blogpost's everyday and started this blog in the first place; fashion! So today its yet again been a typical autumn day, although I did thing that we may have been in for a spell of nice weather when I woke up this morning with ever such a slight hangover from last nights antics, as the sun was shinning through the curtains and giving off the impression that it could be a fairly nice day outside but then I opened my curtains and discovered that it was all a lie and when and pulled my trusty black skinny jeans out of my overly packed draw knowing that it was just a jeans type of day!

Now I know that I wear a lot of black and today was no exception! I do however promise that I don't wear black nearly everyday on purpose, I think its just more of a fashion student thing because every girl on my course seems to understand the love of black during this time of year and every other part of the year for that matter; but black is just a colour that anybody can get away of wearing so it makes it even more perfect for wearing in blogpost's like the OOTD ones that I do on a regular basis because it means that pretty much every person who reads the blogpost and likes particular outfits that I upload can get away with wearing it, which is realistically what my blog is all about; its about passing on my own personal style tips to other woman and girls so they can use them to update pieces in their wardrobe which perhaps haven't seen the light of day for a few years. With this in mind, here's todays outfit breakdown;

Starting with one of my first ever kimono investments; this specific garment is one that I've had in my wardrobe now for just little of a year and is one of those garments, a lot like my pinafores, that come out a lot around this time of year as it's just so easy to get away with wearing and is thick enough for the cloudy/over cast days that we seem to be having a lot of recently. The print on this kimono Is probably one of my favourites as the pops of red and pastel pinks give it that added bit of colour which makes the print stand out even more and easily adds a bit of colour to an outfit like today's that it otherwise may be lacking.

Next is my hand me down crop top; which thanks to style and trends which have surfaced in recent months, I have been wearing this particular top a lot more than I ever used too, as it was one of those that I only used to wear on nights out with a pencil skirt. However since cropped tops have come back in fashion it seems to go with pretty much the majority of my main statement pieces which I have in my wardrobe and I am not complaining as A. I didn't have to pay for it as it was given to me as a hand me down from my mother (its suppose to be a sports bra, my mother didn't actually wear it like I do!) and B. it's become one of my favourite tops that is probably pulled out of draw on a weekly basis! So if you haven't got yourself one already, go out and get yourself a black cropped top, or should I say sports bra, high necked or low necked or both any will do and you're bound to get your use out of them both in the coming months and way into next year too.

Finally is my favoured high-waisted black skinny jeans which seem to have become one of my most warn garments within my wardrobe just recently but I think, because they're black, they just go with anything that I seem to team them with and today's crop top and kimono combination is no exception.
Being black this pair of jeans easily makes me look thinner and can hide away/pull in that bottle of wine which I had last night and has probably gone straight to either my bum or hips, because they're high-waisted they also elongate my legs, which is perfect for small people like myself because it gives the impression that you've got longer legs than you actually have, which in my opinion, is always a bonus!

To complete this look simply team with a black bag and a pair of black flats or jelly shoes to complete this look, you could also draw the colours out which are used in this particular kimono more , or kimono's similar and use these colours within a statement handbag to add that little bit more of colour to this particular look if you wanted too.
