Over sized knits

So we're back to the normal OOTD post today but don't worry "wish list wednesday" will be back and in full swing next wednesday, funnily enough, featuring some newbie garments from another one of my favourite brands! In the mean time, once again the weather is dull and dreary outside and the climates at that awkward stage where you don't exactly know what to wear because it's dark and raining one minute, then it picks up a little and the sun tries to show it's face and then the rain comes back again, which only causes problems with what I choose to wear on a daily basis just recently, not that I don't struggle choosing what to wear anyway, girl problems, I know! But anyway I'm very much in love with the oversized trend at the minute as it's so easy to get away with wearing but also it is so suited too the autumn season as when it's colder I don't know about you, but I always love wearing big baggy jumpers and shirts simply because it makes me feel that little bit extra snug and warm.

So in today's post I've taken the oversized trend and added a little but of a personal twist by simply taking one of my favourite winter jumpers and tucking it into my black pair of high-waisted skinny jeans, by tucking my oversized jumper into my jeans this gives my outfit a completely different look, one of which not many people seem to think of when teaming a big winter knit jumper with a pair of skinny's. Now although you may end up with some bunching around your middle section when you've tucked your jumper into your jeans depending on the thickness of it, this is easily sorted by simply tugging bits of the material up and out, immediately emphasising the oversized/baggy look of the jumper that you're trying to create when wearing this trend in this way, with this in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;

Starting with my jumper, which has already featured in one of my blogpost's simply because of it's colour and it's chunkiness, which means that I pretty much try and get away with wearing it with everything around this time of year! It's probably one of the few oversized knitted jumpers that I have, as the others are either cropped or just a little loose fitting and if it was physically acceptable to buy some more oversized jumpers like this one I would, but unfortunately my jumper collection is already that big that to add to it even more would result in me having no where to store any of my other clothes and I think it would just be physically unhealthy for one person to have that many jumpers! But oversized jumpers like this one work perfectly with high-waisted skinny jeans tucked in and gives you a great autumn/winter look/ outfit.

Next are my high-waisted black skinny jeans and like I've said so many times before, I do not know or understand for that matter, what any woman does without a pair of black skinny's because I honestly wear mine so much, especially lately, that I don't know or want to think about what i'd do without them! They simply go with everything and this big oversized cream jumper is no exception, the style of the jeans elongates the length of my legs and by tucking the oversized jumper in to my jeans instead of leaving it untucked also makeing my waist look slimmer and smaller than it actually is and what woman doesn't want their waist to look smaller that it naturally is?

Finally is my Topshop bargain of a bag which only cost me £20 instead of £36 which I was over the moon about because id been pinning after this particular bag since before Christmas but didn't think I could justify spending that much money on a bag which wouldn't go with half of my outfits! However after purchasing the bag I quickly learned that I had a fair few outfits that I could wear it with and it added just that little bit of colour to a bland outfit which is exactly what I used it to do with today's outfit!

Because you can get away with wearing over-sized knits with just about anything and black skinny jeans should be an item that every woman has in her growing wardrobe, today's outfit is one of the easiest and most in-expensive looks to achieved! - Over sized Cream Jumper - New Look - £15.99, High-waisted Black Skinny Jeans - Primark - £10, Green Over sized bag - Topshop - £20 (SALE) - Black Flats - Primark - £12.99.

So there's another idea on how to wear your over sized knits this season that you perhaps hadn't thought of before, let me know what you think!
