Park Ranger/ Zoo Keeper

So today's post is another late one and no not because my photographer decided she was having a lie in or because she inconveniently came down with a sickness bug again, but because if you haven't guessed by the title of this blog I've been to the zoo today!! Now anyone who doesn't like the zoo, in my opinion, doesn't know what they're missing out on because they're not just a place for little kids and parents me and my younger sister Han went today before she goes back to school on Thursday, as a year 10 I may point out, where has the time gone?, but anyway we had a lovely day and the sun was out, what more could you ask for?

Anyway when I woke up this morning I threw on my new olive coloured shirt over a top and short ensemble and then when arriving at the zoo realised that I looked an awful lot like the park rangers/ Zoo Keppers and could probably be mistaken for a fashionable, poop scooping worker at Twycross Zoo by the public but luckily I wasn't asked for any directions or where the zebra enclosure was! Anyway despite looking like a park ranger, minus the hat, this outfit is one which is casual and fashionable and I actually took inspiration for this outfit from one of my close friends, Helena, who wore the same shirt with some high-waisted jeans, cut at the knee, when we went out last week, so low key but still eye catching, with this in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;

So starting with my oversized shirt, now I'm usually a 10/12 when it comes to shirts and tops depending on the generosity of the fabric around the boob area, but this ones a size 14 and suits the "over sized" look I was trying to achieve with it perfectly, plus it still looks okay when I have it fastened up! Now although looking like a park ranger isn't in fashion right now and probably won't be for a while, over-sized shirts are! These types of shirts are perfect for creating one of these looks, they look great with high-waisted jeans, shorts and you can fasten them up and also wear them underneath a pinafore, which I plan on doing with this shirt when the weather is no longer suitable to go out in crop tops like it has been today, so I definitely recommend getting your hands on one or two of these types of shirts for the upcoming season in your favourite Autumn/Winter shades.

My Levi high-waisted shorts, as you well know by now, are worn on a regular basis as they simply go just so well with the majority of garments I have in my wardrobe, including this crop top and oversized shirt combination that i'm wearing today. However  don't worry and start thinking well that's all very well and good but crop top and shorts season will be over in a matter of days, because you can still wear this shirt by changing the outfit up slightly. This can be achieved by simply swapping the pair of high-waisted shorts for high-waisted skinny jeans, like my friend Helena wore the other day, for when the weather gets colder and not as warm as it has been today meaning you can still continue to get use out of this outfit and oversized shirts still for months to come!

To complete the look simply add a choker or two like I have in today's outfit and a black bag with shoes and tights and you're on your way to looking fashionable, even if you accidentally go to the zoo looking like one of the park rangers!

Minus the uncanny coincidence that I look like a park ranger/zoo keeper and visited Twycross Zoo today, oversized shirts are a must and I would like to thank my close Friend Helen for giving me the inspiration for this outfit!
