Black & White

Now I think you're all aware of my love for black and white combinations, especially seeing as the monochrome trend is pretty much exactly that, so how could I not want to wear black and white combinations over and over again?  I know that I've blogged a lot of outfits which have followed the monochrome trend, hence why today's blogpost is simply called "Black and White", but I continuously keep pulling bits and pieces out of my wardrobe and throwing them together and they just work so well with each other, it would be simply a crime not to share my new inventions with you!

So today's blogpost isn't really either summery or autumn like in my personal opinion, but instead is for one of those days that's inbetween the seasons and you don't know what to wear, which is, once again, exactly what today's like and although the suns out and shinning, I don't know exactly how warm it is as I haven't been out yet, so I may find myself running back in to try and find a jumper or just change my outfit completely. But none the less, this outfit is perfect for the slightly warmer days that we'll hopefully be having before the colder more autumnish days start to set in and generally just gives you the chance to get some more wear out of a few of your summer garments that you don't quite want to stop wearing yet! So with this in mind, here's today's outfit breakdown;

Starting with my top, which is the white garment in this white and black ensemble, now this is one of my favourite styles of tops, the highnecked style is something which is definitely one of the top styles within high-street fashion at the minute and is so easy for anyone to get away with wearing. You can get this style of top in a variety of different colours and patterns and can even get cropped ones from certain stores, which is probably why I'm so in love with this particular style because whatever other garment you want to team it with you can pretty much get it in a colour that compliments and suits what you want to wear it with, there's literally no limitations! These tops look great with jeans, skirts, shorts etc, you name it and you can pretty much get away with wearing this style of top with it and trust me I have teamed these styles of tops with all of these items and felt great wearing the outfit! If you're struggling with what colours to pick or are wondering which would go best with your wardrobe, I'd simply start off with black and white because they go with every colour and pretty much every patterned fabric.

Next is my beloved black skinny high-waisted jeans, now I'm not going to spend too much time droning on and on about these because you've heard it all before, but they definitely are on my must have list for this Autumn/Winter. The reasons why are as follows; with being black they're so versatile and go with anything you pair them with, they don't get dirty easy, which if you're a student like me is a bonus because unfortunately you can't afford to wash every item of clothing after wearing it just the once, and finally skinny jeans are a style that never goes out of fashion; I would honestly not wear any other style of jeans now because I don't think I'd feel right in them if they weren't skinny's.

Going back up the body and to my black floppy hat, that I haven't got as much use of out of yet as I'd like too, but am hopeing it'll be making a lot more appearances as the weather starts to cool off. Now this is a style of hat that's been around for a while now and it doesn't seem to be disappearing off anywhere soon, so I definitely recommend that you purchase one of these for the colder months as not only does it keep your hair in place but it also protects you from those little speckles of rain and snow that we have a tendency to have during the coming months. Just make sure you've got a hold of it on the slightly windy days, I've nearly lost mine a few times thanks to big gusts of wind coming out of no where, so that's just a prewarning for you when you wear this particular style of hat.

Finally are my beloved pair of orangey/red sandals which I fell in love with in the Bank store in Huddersfield back in March time and knew that I had to have them then for my holiday in April, and I can honestly say I have not regretted buying them one bit! I try to wear these particular pair of shoes  more often than not because I just think they're completely different to what you'd usually see and although you wouldn't think it, because of the colour of them, they've literally made so many of my outfits over the spring and summer months and still continue too today when paired with jeans like in today's blogpost! Although these sandals probably aren't a pair that you'll regularly be able to get your hands on, if you do happen to see them I definitely recommend purchasing yourself a pair as they're both super fashionable and comfy; what more could you ask for from a pair of shoes?!

Simply pair these garments with a plain black bag, continuing the black and white trend of the outfit with a simple pop of colour, if you can't get a hold of any really nice colourful shoes like mine in today's post swap the shoes for a colourful bag and you'll have yet another perfect outfit/ outfit idea.

Simple and stylish; this black and white outfit is one for those more casual events that you have in your calender. Black Floppy Hat - Primark - £8, White Highnecked Top - Topshop - £8, Black Skinny High - Waisted Jeans - Primark - £10, Orange Sandels - Bank - £20.

So that's yet another blogpost done, let me know what you think of this casual black and white ensemble with a splash of colour!
