Casual yet smart

So it's yet again another dreary day in Huddersfield and is it any surprise that I'm sat on my bed once again finding myself scrolling through job advertisement's and wondering what seems to be making me so unemployable to businesses? no I think not! But anyway none the less I do have some good news in that I've recently just got asked to go for an interview at USC, which is the brand that took over Republic when they went bust in Huddersfield's Kingsgate shopping centre so everything could be looking up for me at last! Which means that I've got those extra pennies to put away in the bank to go towards my long awaited trip to Paris next February with Uni which I can not wait for!

Anyway moving on to the actual purpose of today's blog post, although I don't actually have any excuse to get dressed today and the other girls in the flat also haven't, so haven't bothered to get dressed, I pushed myself up out of bed this morning got a shower and just threw some clothes on that I thought would be acceptable and warm as there's something wrong with the radiators in the flat at the minute and they don't seem to be functioning like radiators should, but I realised after getting dressed that I actually looked fairly representable for just a lounge/chill day and thought I may aswell share today's outfit with you all seeing as A. it would be a waste for only the girls to see it in the flat and B. I generally have nothing else to do, so blogging is definitely acting as a time filler at the minute which I am so grateful for its untrue.

With today's outfit this is, yet again, an outfit that I wear regularly around this time of year, as like I've already said, its easy to just throw on and is also comfortable but mainly it looks like you've put a lot more effort into picking your outfit out then you actually have which to me is just a win in generally, who doesn't want to look like they've put maximum effort into their outfit when actually it was just the first thing you pulled out of your wardrobe when you woke up that morning? So with today's blog post being a bit of a hint, today's outfit is definitely one that you get away with wearing out for a more casual interview, a day shopping with your mum when she comes up to visit you at uni and you actually want to give off the impression that you're still the respectable human being she brought up and uni hasn't changed you at all or just generally if you want to feel/look a bit smarter than usual but with a casual twist! With all this in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;

Starting from the top and working my way down; now I'm going to start off with talking about something which perhaps some people wouldn't consider to be part of an outfit breakdown but then in other ways some people would, it depends if you view your outfit just by the clothes that you wear!  Anyway today's middle parting hair doo is something which isn't dead out of the normal for me, as although I do various things with it like plaits and scrunchies e.t.c it usually falls back into my natural central parting; but take note my little fashionista's because centre partings are yet again all the range this season and they're so easy to achieve it would be a crime against fashion to not oblige and if you don't think you can pull off a dead central middle parting, out of fear of looking like your forehead makes up half of you face, then simply split it to the side ever so slightly and you'll be onto a winner.

Next is my simple yet smart baby blue long sleeved shirt which I brought from Forever21 last November when on a trip to London for a few days with uni. Now I've said it before and I'll say it again, sometimes its the basic garments which you misjudge which make the best partnering garments for such items as the pinafore in today's blogpost or my short pencil shirt in yesterdays blogpost; its the basics, and I can't stress enough, which more often than not make the outfit complete and this baby blue shirt does exactly that. Not only does this particular shirt add that hint of smartness to this particular outfit, creating the smart/casual look which makes it more suitable for such things as casual interviews, but the colour is also bang on trend and fits perfectly into the pastel colour wheel of this season, what more could you ask for?

Finally on today's outfit breakdown is yet again my black pinafore. Now I know I've done a few posts with not only just this pinafore but also my denim pinafore in, but I think it stresses too you that A. you don't have to keep buying new garments every week to be a fashion blogger or even to look on trend and fashionable in everyday life and B. that pinafores really do go with everything and anything and are the perfect garments to have in your wardrobe this time of year because they're something different and a little bit quirky that the majority of people don't think they can get away with wearing during this time of year. I definitely recommend going and getting your hands on a pinafore or two for this Autumn/Winter as, incase I haven't proved to you already, the use out of them you'll get will be endless and you can continue to create style after style with them and wont get bored with your look because your outfit will never look the same when teamed with other different garments out of your Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

Once again to finish off this look simply team with either black flats or black ankle boots and a pair of frilly socks for those slightly colder days and a black hand bag and you're on your way to achieving yet again a must have look for this Autumn/Winter, also team with this years must have cocoon coat and a fur head band to give you that extra bit of warmth when it starts to get closer to Christmas!

Casual yet smart, what more could you ask for from a versatile outfit like this one?
