That casual black and white look
You'll all be happy to know that I'm back again today with yet another OOTD style blogpost! Now I know that I've said I'm going to have to cut down the volume of these type of blogpost's, but for now whilst I've not got really any work on, I'm going to keep on top of things and keep sharing with you new outfit ideas and inspirations that you can wear over and over again and change up in the next few months. So today's outfit choice is one which I have worn before but have never blogged which to me is a little weird, because I'm usually thinking I cant wear that outfit because I've blogged about it already, first world problems I know! But anyway in case you hadn't guessed already by today's blogpost title, today's look is that of a casual black and white teamed ensemble which is so easy to wear and you can pretty much dress it up or down depending on where you're wearing it or what you're exactly wearing it for!
Now you know that the monochrome trend is one of my favourites styles and trends to wear, especially when blogging, because I believe that pretty much anybody and everybody can get away with wearing these colours and look amazing you just have to determine whether you wear more black or more white when wearing a "casual black and white look" dependent on your body shape and figure and ultimately what colour you're most comfortable in yourself! For example whenever I wear a black and white combination like I'm wearing today, black is always my main colour as I feel like I look thinner in black than I do white and if I ever owned a pair of white skinny jeans, whenever I wore them you can guarantee I would spill something down them because that's just the type of person I am! White skinny's are a great look however, so if you're brave enough to wear them then do, because they're bang on trend at the minute so you wouldn't look out of place at all when wearing them plus they really stand out from the crowd!
In today's outfit I've also accidentally included another trend other than the monochrome trend; this being the striped trend! Now I know and have said before that you don't need to fear wearing stripes one bit! I used to hate wearing stripes and always used to avoid them when shopping because I always thought they'd make me look bigger than I actually am, but I was wrong! As long as you follow the rules for wearing stripes according to your body shape, which you can find in one of my older Blogpost's, then you will no longer be afraid of wearing this amazing trend but instead will wear it with confidence! With this in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;
Starting with my top which covers both the monochrome and striped trend, which not only has been a big hit this past Spring/Summer, but also is set to continue to be a massive trend within the fashion industry this Autumn/Winter and also Spring/Summer 2015, so this top is definitely going to get some wear out of it in the next year or so! There's a few bits and pieces of this top that I particular like one being the high-necked style, now once again you all know how much I love this style of top and I don't know why, because I never used to like wearing things high around my neck but this style is one that has definitely changed my opinion on this! Another thing that I like about this top is the zip detailing on the back, which I'm not sure if you can see fully on the photographs due to my hair being in the way, but instead of being a simple pull over top, the zip fastening adds that little bit of something different to this garment and definitely makes it even more on trend, as zip fastenings are definitely in this season! Finally the last thing which I really like about this particular top, is of course it being part of the monochrome trend, because of it following this trend it definitely makes stripes easier to wear and also looks amazing which a variety of bottom garments, my high-waisted Levi's included!
Now not only does this top look amazing with my high-waisted Levi's it also looks equally as good with my high-waisted black skinny jeans, which are, as you know one of my favourite items of clothing to wear around this time of year! Now black skinny jeans are a garment which I believe was made for everybody; they're simple to wear with anything and mean you can pair them with a vibrant patterned top, like I often do with my high-necked floral crop top and it doesn't look like you're wearing too many patterns/colour at the same time! Black skinny's look great on men, woman, curvy figures, tall figures, anyone can get away with wearing this particular garment of clothing which is something that is exceptionally rare in the fashion world, so if you haven't got a pair already go out and buy a pair, if you've got a pair buried at the back of your wardrobe them pull them out and start experimenting wearing them with different tops in different styles, colours and patterns and if you already love you black skinny's as much as I do, keep doing what you're doing!
To finish of this casual black and white look, simply team with a bucket bag like mine, which you could always buy in a vibrant colour to add that bit of something to this particular outfit and a pair of heeled sandals like mine to give yourself that added extra bit of height and of course don't forget the black floppy hat, which is definitely an accessory which is a must have this season and next!
