Just a little trick
Today's blogpost is once again returning back to it's normal format of an OOTD style post and ohh how I've missed them! I love doing OOTD style blogpost's as I believe it gives you a little insight into how to wear the latest fashion trends and styles in ways you haven't perhaps tried out before, which ultimately then gives you idea's on how to give perhaps some items of clothing, that has been sitting at the back of your wardrobes for a few months a new lease of life; really it's just another perspective on how to dress, just something fresh and new. OOTD post's are definitely ones that I love to do often, in case you haven't noticed, because they're so easy to achieve and I would definitely recommend to anybody that's wanting to start out as a fashion blogger that OOTD's do get you a lot of attention because everyone's OOTD posts are different, none two are the same because they come from different people with different styles and opinions of trends and styles.
Now I love these type of posts, but with being back in uni for an informal first day of Second year today, which basically consisted of the breakdown of the year with design and sample development projects along with trips and information on placement year, I don't know if I'm going to be able to continue to keep doing an OTTD style post everyday of the week! But not to fret, these style posts will definitely still be making an appearance two or three times in a week, so you can still get your personal trend fashion fix. Because of this I'm going to try and work with a few new styles of posts which will replace the missing OOTD posts which perhaps I can do in advance; either way I shall keep you tuned because blogging is definitely my escape when I'm stressing over fast approaching deadlines so I won't be stopping anytime soon!
Anyway now I've given you a kind of little mini breakdown on what's more than likely going to be happening in terms of the blog in the upcoming weeks, today's post is something which may have you all just a little intrigued simply because of the title; Just a little trick. Now today's outfit consists of exactly that, it's just a little trick which can easily change the look of an outfit and you don't even have to go out and buy anything new, its kind of a simple way of updating your look without going out and having to buy the new style of an old trend! So I'm sure you're all dying to know what this little trick is that I've got up my sleeve, so with that said here's todays outfit breakdown;
So as normal I'm going to start from the bottom of the body and work my way down through the various different garments which I put together to create todays look, which unfortunately means you're going to have to wait to find out my little trick just for a little bit longer! But anyway starting with my floral kimono, as you know this is not a garment which I have used within previous blogpost's, but because of the main colour of it being black its genuinely so easy to couple together with new garments which I haven't previously. So although it's the same kimono, I never really look the same when I wear it because I team it with different items which I think, really is the way forward as A. it's still a garment which is a major part of the trend and style of the current season and B. I've not spent any money on it other than the money I used to buy it, which means I've definitely got my money's worth out of it and I haven't even had it a year yet! So if you can get your hands on one of these then id definitely recommend it not only for this season but also for the next!
Now next is the garment with the little trick that this entire blogpost is basically based upon, one of my high-necked black tops! Now these style of tops have been a regular staple within my OOTD blogpost's as they're not only bang on trend but they're so easy to team with virtually anything that it's pretty hard not to keep picking the same top's out of my draws day after day because I know they'll go with the majority of bottom garments which I have in my wardrobe without thinking twice! But in today's OOTD blogost I've taken this simple style and changed it up a little; simply gather the excess material at the front of the top together at one point either to you're right or left hand side, but still at the front, and simply scrunch together, securing with a bobble or elastic band and you immediately create a cropped high-necked top which are all the rage this season! Now what more could you ask for then simply reinventing your waist length high-necked tops into cute cropped ones without buying a new one? This little trick is definitely one that I'll be continuing to use throughout the coming months and even into next years Spring/Summer.
Next and the final major garment in todays OOTD blogpost, are my trusty high-waisted Levi Shorts. Now you know that I love a good high-waisted garment, because with me being small they tend to elongate my figure, plus they suck in any stomach bloating from drinking too much the night before and are something which are always on trend, what more could you ask for really? Plus, like I've said in previous blogpost's over and over again, shorts like my Denim Levi's, aren't just an item of clothing which belong in your Spring/Summer wardrobe! Shorts are so easy to team with cute jumpers and shirts with a thick pair of tights during the Autumn and Winter months that it would simply be a crime to keep them locked away until next Spring/Summer especially when you have a pair that you love as much as I love mine!
To finish off today's outfit simply add a simple black bucket bag like mine, which gets so much use and only cost me like a tenner from Primark and hasn't broken yet, with a simple pair of flats and a pair of black tights, whatever thickness you prefer depending on the weather outside and you're on your way to creating yet again another fashionable outfit with just that added little twist that you've perhaps been missing!
