Wish list Wednesday; Asos
So as promised wish list Wednesday is back and adding a little something different to the blog each week plus you'll all be happy, well maybe happy, to know that I am once again blogging from my beloved bed on my laptop watching repeat episodes of Ghost Adventures and I honestly couldn't be happier, it's the small things in life right? Anyway like I said in yesterdays post, which if you haven't checked it out already and I highly recommend you do as it gives you some tips on the hottest colours/shades for this Autumn/Winter, then you'll know that today's wish lish is based on the yet another internet fashion giant; Asos. Now I will hold my hands up and confess that I am probably not as much of an avid shopper at Asos as I am some of the other companies/brands which will also be featured during my future wish list Wednesday's, maybe this is simply because they're garments tend to be slightly more expensive than others and I am a student after all, however none the less they are still a brand that I like to check out now and again and am often not that disappointed by what I see.
Asos is a fairly new company in regards to some of the other well known High-Street brands, many of which their garments hang in our wardrobes, as it was only founded in 2009. But with a head quarters in London, selling over 850 brands including its own range of both clothing and accessories and with an estimated net worth of £159 million, it is no surprise that Asos, as a company, have come so far in such a small space of time and are a massive rival to other high-street fashion brands such as misguided and Boohoo whose marketing revenue is also primarily based online.
Anyway moving on from the business/history lesson and somewhat marketing side behind the brand that is Asos, I have found some really nice garments to further my wish list, which my sister says she's going to refer too when I say I'll give her a Christmas list this year and then don't actually write/give her one until a week before it is actually Christmas day, guilty as charged! There's once again a variety of garments this week and also some accessories which have managed to smuggle their way on my Asos wish list, as after all, an outfit isn't complete without accessories is it? There's also an array of various styles, colours and shades because even though it is Autumn/Winter this doesn't mean you cant have fun with colour, so here's my Asos wish list;
Last but certainly not least is the tulip skirt, now it's perhaps a little more than I'd like to pay for a skirt of this style but like I've said earlier in the post, it's the quality of the product that you pay for so perhaps its worth that little bit extra investment if it means it's going to last you twice as long. The little pleats and the colour are the two things which drew me into this particular skirt the most as once again it follows the pastel trend that we see reappearing this Autumn/Winter but the small pleats also means that it doesn't simply stick to your figure and has got a bit more substance about it.
So that's the second wish list Wednesday done of this month, what do you think to my Asos must buys for this Autumn/Winter? Let me know and I shall be back next week with yet another one of my favourite brands for Wish list Wednesday.

Anyway moving on from the business/history lesson and somewhat marketing side behind the brand that is Asos, I have found some really nice garments to further my wish list, which my sister says she's going to refer too when I say I'll give her a Christmas list this year and then don't actually write/give her one until a week before it is actually Christmas day, guilty as charged! There's once again a variety of garments this week and also some accessories which have managed to smuggle their way on my Asos wish list, as after all, an outfit isn't complete without accessories is it? There's also an array of various styles, colours and shades because even though it is Autumn/Winter this doesn't mean you cant have fun with colour, so here's my Asos wish list;
So the first item on my Asos wish list may be a tad on the expensive side, depending on what you believe to consider expensive in regards to a new winter coat, but so so worth it. Now I've been going on about how easily you can transfer outfits which I've posted up recently from that in-between seasons stage to be able to wear it when the weather gets colder and this is all simply done by a winter coat and what more could you ask for from a winter coat than this cocoon Asos one? Although pastel pink isn't necessarily the first colour you think of for a winter coat, pastels are everywhere this Autumn/Winter especially in regards to coats, and this one ticks both the colour and style box in my personal opinion.
Now you can go through winter wearing wooley tights with really cute pleated and pencil skirts or knitted dresses this season, but in my opinion, you have got to have atleast a few pairs of skinny jeans in your wardobe this Autumn/Winter and I a beyond in love with mom jeans right now! Mom jeans are a lot like High-Waisted Skinny jeans just a little baggier which means they're perfect for wearing on the days were you just need to nip to the shop for some milk but then don't plan on moving off of the sofa for the rest of the day. With these specific pair of mom jeans also being ripped at the knee, it makes them even more a must have this season; simply role the bottom of them up a two or three times, more like 5/6 times if you're a small arse like me, add a chunky belt and a crop top and your casual/comfy look will be complete.
Next is this beautiful quilted skirt, which just screams Autumn/Winter simply by the colour pallet alone. Now this isn't an actually an Asos garment itself but in fact it's a New Look garment, but none the less, New Look is one of the 850 brands that Asos stock/sell alongside it's own, so this means when you can't find it on New Look's website/its out of stock then not to worry because Asos will probably have it in stock! This skirt is so versatile it would be hard not to want to purchase it, you could wear it during the day with a jumper or blouse and a leather jacket then pair it with a laced crop top and heels for a night out with the girls, multiple looks for only £17.99, what more could you ask for?
Yet again we see pastel colours making a reappearance in this years Autumn/Winter collections, as they appear not to be just a Spring/Summer trend and one thing that is for sure is that I am not complaining at all! I feel that it's really nice and refreshing to have pastels still as a statement colour within our wardrobes during the colder months as it just changes things up a little and also adds that extra bit of colour too any outfit really easily. Now this particular style of dress is a favourite of mine, but I don't know if I'd ever be able to get away with it myself, none the less this dress is gorgeous and you can't really get much better for the price!
Now this is one of the two accessories that have made it onto my Asos wish list today so I suppose you could say that it's a must buy! Anyway I don't think you'll know this but I am a sucker for a cute backpack, like my obsession with jelly shoes they take me right back to my childhood and I just love them, especially the new style of backpack that's come out recentely which is more of a square shape than others have been kind of like this one. But one thing I will say when you think of buying a backpack I recommend buying them in a neutral colour like black or tan because you'll just get more use out of them this way!
The main thing that drew me to this particular shirt, as Asos, like most other High-street brands at the minute, have got a variety of this style of shirts, was the colour! The dark emerald green of this shirt is something that I love, love, love and can't get enough of and I also love how they've styled it on this model on the website, its not a way that I've ever thought of styling this type of shirt before but will definitely be experimenting with it in the near future, so stay tuned!
This is the second winter coat that has made it's way onto my wish list which is yet again one of Asos's own designs but I believe this style of coat is regularly available in the majority of High-street stores, so it may pay off to have a look around before purchasing your winter coat if this is the type of style you're looking for. Even though this particular coat is only £80 and some people wouldn't think twice about paying this for a winter coat, as after all it's the quality you pay for, I know that there's student out there alike myself who perhaps are just looking for something a little cheaper, so take my advice and just have a look around before purchasing one! I'm still unsure if I'm leaning more towards the camel or a lighter grey colour in this style of coat, what do you all think?
Second dress of today's wish list and what a statement colour it is! Now oranges are very popular during the Autumn/Winter months but they also seem to have been a hit over the course of this years Spring/Summer seasons, so what I'm thinking is if I invested in this colour in this dress then I could get use out of it all year round for various nights out and meals for birthdays and such like e.c.t which would mean that I'd get my £38's worth right? Colour aside this is once again a style that I love and can see myself getting away with more so than I can the higher necked pastel pink dress, the only problem would be my boobs because we all know boobs have a mind of there own, particularly on a night out!
Yet another beautiful pastel colour which has creeped from our Spring/Summer wardrobes into our Autumn/Winter ones and once again I'm not complaining. Now I don't very often where blues and I'm not sure why because I have blue/green eyes and have been told it really brings the colour out in my eyes but this season may call for a change as I love how effortlessly casual this top is, yet its still smart and would look amazing with a pair of high waisted jeans and a statement necklace.
I'm a massive fan of the choker trend which seems to have been taken the high-street fashion world by storm and people seem to wear them on every occasion possible and you know the reason behind this? because they go with absolutely everything and anything bar things with a collar such as shirts and blouses, but they jut add that little bit of something to a bar neckline when you've got a lower cut top on. This particular choker is a little different in comparison to your normal choker's but I really do like it as its casual but not too casual so you can get away with wearing it both during the day and night.
As you all know by now I'm a huge stripes fan at the minute, and when I saw this t-shirt I knew that it had to be on my wish list as not only does it follow the current stripe trend but the colour of it also something that I love. Now its very rare, well in my opinion its very rare that you see striped tops in any other colours but white, navy, black and blue so to find a striped top in a burgundy colour like this one is like pixie dust to me I suppose, this is definitely something which I will be investing in in the near future!
