Jumper season is upon us!

So jumper season is finally upon us, well at least I consider it to be with the all this colder weather showing it's face in the East Midlands over the past few days! Yes I know it's only the end of August and I'm hoping that the good old English climate has still got some sunny days left in it yet, which will probably come in the middle of September when all the schools have gone back and I'll be able to soak up the sun whilst laughing at the poor students from Ashfiled comp walking home in their black blazers, because I'm a Uni student and we never start back until the end of September, result!!

Anyway today's OOTD, is just something really basic and is one of the looks which I wore religiously last year during the Autumn/Winter season, as it's just so easy to get away with wearing and you can wear it pretty much anywhere. Shopping, on a dinner date, to Uni/college you name it and you can get away with wearing this outfit there, it's  just one of those outfits that you'll want to wear over and over again! I will point out though that when I mean I wore this outfit religiously, I did swap the jumper I'm wearing on today's OOTD with others from my collection which just kept the look updated and fresh, because no matter how much you love an outfit you don't want to be seen wearing 24/7! With this is mind here is today's outfit breakdown;

Now today's jumper isn't one of my favourites but it's perfect for today's climate as it's in between being really thin and really thick so keeps your warm but not too warm that you feel like the family in the sauna off of frozen ( if you haven't watched Disney's frozen, A.What are you doing with your life and B. Go and watch it now!!). Although you can't see it in this particular shot/OOTD this jumper is actually a cropped jumper which means it also goes perfectly with all your high-waisted garments which you've purchased over the year such as high-waisted shorts and your variety of high-waisted skinny jeans, meaning you'll get even more use out of them in the coming colder months, which is always a bonus.

Next is my denim pinafore which I actually brought around this time of year last year and have wore it some many times with a variety of different tops/ jumpers/ blouses/ shirts that it was probably one of the best investments I've made in the past year. Denim pinafores are perfect for teaming with your woolens and knits this Autumn/Winter as the two textures just work really well together and compliment each other nicely. Plus you'll continue to get good use out of the pinafore even in the summer months, making it a year round garment which will get endless amounts of use.

So today's outfit hints at the subtle change in weather we've been having over the past few days, but it's still not cold enough to get those legs out!
Black and White Cropped Jumper - Primark - £8, Denim Pinafore - Primark - £15, Shoes - Primark - £12.99.
So that's another OOTD post done and dusted, let me know what you think of the denim and knit teaming, thanks again!
