Sunday casuals
So it's Sunday, and is exceptionally rare that I post on a Sunday as it's suppose to be the resting day of the week, not that I've been doing anything but that since I finished Uni in June for the summer, but anyway for some reason today is an exception! I got out of my nice, warm, comfy bed this morning threw on some clothes then looked at myself again in the mirror and thought this outfit is too good of an outfit to not do an OOTD about, as it would simply just be a waste! So seeing as I'm planning on not leaving the house to day at all, because you know it's still Sunday and still an excuse for me to sit and watch disney films and be lazy, I thought I best share it with you lovely people!
Today's OOTD combines two of my favourite trends and styles together in one outfit, and they work really well together without even trying to make them go with each other. Now today's outfit is really honestly just one of those can you chuck on, a lot like I did when I got up this morning, it is Sunday after all!, and you'll look 10x better than the amount of effort you actually have to put in to pull this look off! So if you want to have one of those days were you just want to throw two garments on, a bag over your shoulder and some accessories wherever you wish then this is your outfit believe me! With this in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;
So to begin with my top, this top is one of my favourites at the minute and it seems to come out to play more often than it's in my wardrobe, but that is simply because it's just so easy to wear with pretty much anything! The floral trend is something I love, which this particular top has got completely covered, plus the style of the top is yet another thing that I really like, as because the tops high-necked, it means that you can get away with hitching it up ever so slightly above wear it's suppose to end, showing that bit of skin without it being too much! Whereas if the top was a low neckline I wouldn't dream of doing this as then pretty much everything would be on show and that's now really acceptable in the fashion world in terms of daywear! This technique can work pretty much in any high-necked top so why don't you have a play around with this idea and see what works best for you, remember you don't necessarily have to have a flat stomach and a 6 pack to get away with this look either, I most certainly don't and feel super confident wearing this top in this way!
Next are my favoured skinny jeans, and of course my black ones have to be up there with the best bits in my wardrobe right now for the upcoming colder months! Black jeans, especially black skinny jeans, are something which I feel every women should have in their wardrobe as A. Black is a slimming colour on everybody, like no one is excluded from this trick that this colour does to other people's eyes, it 100% makes you look thinner just by wearing it and B. If you got given the small gene like I did, I'm only 5ft1 but I don't think id want to be any taller, then the high-waisted style of these particular jeans immediately elongates your frame and your legs because it gives the illusion that your waist is higher than it is, making even short arses like me look taller, which is a result in itself!
Simply take these two items, add a bucket bag like my black one and a pair of flats/sandals and you are on your way to creating this look with minimal effort but looking like you've spent hours planning exactly what you're wearing, which to me is a success story in itself, you're welcome!
So that's another OOTD done and on a Sunday would you believe it or not! Anyway i'll be back with more posts on goodies, trends and wishlist's next week so stay tuned!
