How to combine two of the most popular Autumn/Winter 2014 trends

With the nights starting to get colder and the hours of daylight starting to decrease, it's becoming even more obvious, and I hate to say it, that Autumn is just around the corner! With A-Level results day only yesterday the big move to university for all the new freshers is only around the corner, which also means September is around the corner bringing with it the cold Autumn/Winter English weather! But not to worry because today's post is about how to keep warm as the days gradually start to get colder, whilst still looking fashionable and this is definitely something that particular people seem to struggle with!

So today's outfit post combines two of my favourtie trends at the moment and just for Autumn/Winter in general, these trends being tartan and knits! Now I know I've already touched on both these trends/styles earlier this week in previous blogpost's, so I'm not going to babble on too much about them but all I really want to say is that if you love both the knit and tartan trend separatley then you're bound to love them even more when they're combined as one! So with that in mind here's today's outfit breakdown;

Now I'm a massive sucker for any type of jumper when it comes to the colder weather seasons of the year and actually really struggle to store them all away when the warmer summer months come because I have that many, last year I seemed to have somewhat of an addiction to buying jumpers and everyone knew it, guilty as charged, but they're a garment which just keep coming back every single year in Autumn/Winter collections up and down the fashion industry plus they're super comfy and go with just about anything! This particular cream jumper of mine is one that I love and have had for a few years now, it's over sized so goes perfectly with my skinny jeans but also tucks into any type of skirt/shorts i want to wear with it also, which is why its probably one of my favourite knits.

My skirt as you already know, I absolutely love and can't seem to get enough of lately, but the combination of the tartan of my skirt and the chunkiness of my cream jumper is something which i love even more and it's honestly one of my favourite combinations of clothing that I've tried wearing with this particular skirt and i'm more than likely going to wear it a fair few times in the coming season because the two looks just compliment each other so well and it's bang on trend, you can't really ask for anything more can you?

So finally my shoes and my bag, with this outfit I didn't want to put anymore colours or textures into it as I felt that that would be too much, so simply teaming my skirt and jumper with my favourite pair of black flat shoes and a blag bag just finished the outfit of nicely.

Today's outfit combine two of the most popular looks/styles for this Autumn/Winter so it's hard not to love it!
Cream Over Sized Knit Jumper - New Look - £15, Tartan Skirt - New Look - £19.99 - Shoes - Primark - £12, Hand Bag - Matalan - £15.

So that's today outfit/blogpost, let me know what you think about how I've combined these two trends and if there's anything you'd change about my outfit today!
