Wearing Floral Print without over doing it

So as promised in my previous post, i'm going to try and start doing more outfit posts of what i'm wearing so I can give you either a better idea of how to team things up, what to wear with certain items which you may have stored away in your wardrobes that you love but don't know quite what to do with or for just some fresh new inspiration, because let's face facts we all get fed up of wearing the same things day in and day out, I've definitely stood looking into my wardrobe, which is brimming with clothes of all sorts of colours, patterns and styles and moaned that I've got nothing to wear!

With this in mind today's post is mainly centred around my beautiful new floral printed top which I purchased from the New Look store in Bury St Edmunds whilst I was away last week, I knew straight away when I saw the pattern that I had to have it and I have definitely not regretted my decision to spontaneously buy it since!

Now I know when I say floral print a lot of people automatically think NO, I'm not going there because they immediately think of the hideous Hawaiian shirt that your dad brings out for every family vacation you go on, thankfully my dad doesn't have one of those, but floral prints are not something to shy away from in fact they're perfect for all seasons as you can get them in all sorts of different colours, just because it's floral doesn't mean it has to bright and trust me floral is a print which you need to invest in for this upcoming season!

So with that in mind here's todays outfit breakdown hopefully it justifies that floral print's aren't actually that scary;

Today's look is ideally for the upcoming months as the sunshine starts to fade and the leaves start to change colour, but don't fear when it gets a bit colder pair this look with cute little ankle boots and a chunky woollen cardigan and you're keep warm whilst still looking bang on trend this coming season.
High Necked Vest Top - Newlook - £12.99, Levi Shorts - Topshop - £25, Cut out Shoes - Primark - £12, Bucket Bag - Primark - £10.
 So that's todays look, see I told you floral print wasn't that scary and it's certainly nothing to shy away from as long as you don't over do the trend and wear too much floral at once, which may result in you looking like a hippy from the 60's/70's, then you'll pull this trend off without a bat of an eyelash! But in case you are still unsure hear are some of my favourite picks lined up for next season which I definitely want to get my hands on sooner rather than later!

So this amazing floral print two piece set is perfect for a night out with all the girls for a few too many bottles of rose, guilty for doing this more than a handful of times, or a family meal or uni get together and the best part about two pieces is you can also get away with wearing them with other items you already have in your wardrobe if you don't want too much floral essence going on in your outfit!

Pencil Skirt - £14.99

Now this top too this two piece set may look very familiar and that's because it is, once again New Look have done it again with their floral patterns and I absoloutly love this one in particular, however for my liking I wouldn't pair the two items together out of fear of looking too much look like a flower myself, but the two items seperatley would work amazing with pretty much anything!
High Necked Vest Top and Pencil Skirt both from Newlook
High Necker Vest Top - £12.99
Pencil Skirt - £14.99

So there's just a couple of other floral inspired garments which I hope you wont shy away from in the coming season! I'll post again tomorrow, let me know your thoughts on this trend and if you want me to cover any others!
