The Kimono; Summer style

So the Kimono trend has been around for a while now, both on the designer catwalks and in high street windows and this trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon! With us throwing ourselves into everything that has anything to do remotely with summer, Kimono's seem to be the hottest accessory on the block right now whether you wear one to hit a beach, like I did when I went to Florida this April, or even around the pool which I saw was very popular within the groups of girls who hit the Hideout Festival in Croatia this summer or finally kimonos fit in perfectly with the shorts and wellies plus a floral headband look which is any festivals signature! So wherever you're going this summer make sure you've got a kimono in your wardrobe!

I know it's very well me saying make sure you've got a kimono in your wardrobe this summer, but many of you will think well where do I start? because there is that many varying patterned and styled Kimono's on the market right now, because it is such as huge style trend this season that you're often spoilt for choice. So here's just a few of my own personal collection of Kimono's teamed with some basic denim looks that will work for pretty much anyone and any summer themed event this season!

This Kimono is the perfect colour the summer and fits nicely alongside the pastel colour trend that for this season is a must!

I know what your thinking though, you're in love with the trend but your thinking if I buy some fantastic kimono from Topshop with some reasonable yet pricey price tag that comes along with it, once the summer nights fade into those colder winter nights will I still be able to get my wear out of it? and the answer to that question is YES! This trend/style is one that has been around since the ending of last year when designers started to release their spring/summer collections for this year as they often do as that is how the fashion industry cycle works, but just because these kimonos are meant for Spring/Summer does not mean you can't get away with wearing them in the colder months as well!

Simply team your summer inspired kimono that you had all those crazy nights with on the beach, at festivals, around the pool or on those last minute road trips with your friends, with a high-waisted pair of jeans or "mom jeans" whichever style you feel more comfortable in really, with a strappy top and a pair of docs or any other type of style shoe which you'll have fallen in love with by then and bobs your uncle you've transformed a spring/summer look into a autumn/winter look and trust me it's so easy to do, this was one of my favourite looks last season and still is today whether the sun's out or not!

Shall keep posting hope you're all having an amazing summer!
