Here comes Summer!

So as the weather starts to get hotter, only slightly if you live in lovely old England anyway, the alcohol starts flowing, beer gardens become a hush of conversation and summer tunes that doesn't more than make you wish you were on holiday all the more! With everyone seeing to be jetting off to the top holiday destinations for young people within the past few weeks I can't help but to be a little jealous of them with no girls holiday booked this year even more so when it was a year ago yesterday that we would have flown out to last years top party destination Zante! Like any girls holiday it was full of arguments, sun, ridiculous amounts of alcohol, a trip to A&E and everything else that comes with the territory off going away with a group of 24 people!

Anyway the point is as the holiday season has come around quicker than we all expected it too once again, we also become aware that bikini season is upon us once again. Now this usually sparks 1 of 2 thoughts in women's minds, 1. "I can't wait to get my bikini on and be by that pool and on that beach " or 2. "I need to drastically loose weight and tone up before I get on that plane otherwise I'm going to never leave the hotel room!" usually number 2 is more common than number 1 and unfortunately I am a number 2 type of person unlike my beautiful little sister who was blessed with a high metabolism and a body to die for, don't you just hate those people!

But not to worry, while a holiday is good motivation to hit the gym and eat cleaner and healthier it's also not a massive issue if you don't hit your goal weight by the time you go on holiday as fashion, as always, has brought back in the High- waisted bikini of the 50's which is ideal if you don't exactly love those extra few pounds that always seem to stick around the stomach area and there's so many different styles, colour and patterns which these bikini's come in you'll be spoilt for choice and trust me this style of bikini makes any of those holiday nightmares of wearing a bikini in public disappear.

Re-Emerging styles of fashion - Marilyn Monroe pictured in a High-waisted bikini in the 1950's.

I was lucky enough to revisit the Sunshine State, which of course is Florida in April and although I was in the gym and eating healthy everyday from the end of January I still didn't feel comfortable in a normal bikini, but my high waisted black Asos bikini made me feel like a million dollars and got a lot of compliments! So here are a few of my favourites including my very own compulsory holiday shot in a bikini!

Black High-waisted bikini - Asos - £23
(Brought as a mix and match separate bottoms and top)

Floral Patterned anything is in this summer, and this High-Waisted Bikini is just too cute to pass up!

Red is always  a statement colour and one of my favourites, you won't be missed in this bright little number!

This colour is definitey for those that tan super easily, unlike myself plus the texture of the fabric makes this bikini stand out just that little bit more!

So have I converted you into a high waisted bikini wannabe? let me know how your summer look goes, just one quick last tip, to add that extra something when heading to the beach add a kimono as a cover up to your look will jelly sandals and an oversized beach hat to get the complete look!
