Leather and Denim, a must have look for this season.

 So personally I was never a massive fan of the double denim look which seemed to be everywhere last summer, I just thought the look could go one way or the other; either way it was definitely a look that I didn't bother trying to pull off!

However the new leather and denim combination has got to be one of my ultimate favourite looks right now, and the look can so easily be pulled off by both men and woman. I'm not saying go out with your boyfriend and both wear this look at the same time, we wouldn't want you looking like one of those over obsessesive couples, because lets face facts its cute at first but then it just becomes slightly weird, but this is definitely a look to try out if any this season for both men and women.

 

The Denim and Leather look is something which you can either keep rather simple, reflecting a tomboyish sort of style or you can make it more feminine through wearing a pinafore, pencil skirt or something tight fitting in either denim or leather on the lower half of your body to really show off your shape and figure. 

 

To create a toboyish style of this look like highlighted in the photo above, team together an over sized denim shirt, (borrow your boyfriends if he has one, this will give you the baggy effect, plus they're usually 10x more comfortable for some reason too, just ensure that it doesn't bury you!) a pair of skinny jeans (NOT THE SAME COLOUR DENIM THOUGH PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF FASHION) and then your prized leather jacket, which lets face facts goes with practically anything and you can justify spending so much on, although mine was only £30 from TKMaxx, Bargain!

 

To create perhaps a more feminine take on this look, team together a denim pencil skirt or pinafore whatever colour denim is completely up to you, I personally think any shade of denim would go with this look, so it's down to you as an individual to decide which colour denim you'd prefer. Then team this with a simple black top to keep on trend with the sort of rock chick look this style conveys and then simply add your faithful leather jacket, throw on your gold chain necklace, some Chelsea boots and you'll have the look down to a tee.

If you think this trend lacking colour, just add something extra! Two of my fav things to add to this look in terms of colour, are;

1. Lipstick - This obviously goes without saying and the colour most definitely has to be red.

2. Tartan - Weather it be a scarf or a hat or a bag, Tartan is another must this season.
