Fur, yes or no?
Fur has always been a controversial subject to touch on within the fashion world, however as we saw towards the end of 2013, fur is back but is it a yes or no for you fashion wardrobe this season?
For me fur is a yes within my wardrobe for the upcoming season, however don't jump your guns, fake fur is the only way for me. I love this look but real fur is a massive no, no! Fake fur is just as good as the real thing looks wise.
In 2013's Autumn/Winter ranges we saw a lot of fur coats, hats, scarfs e.t.c make their way from the catwalk onto the high street, which will only continue to thrive as the coldest months are still yet to come, before the temperature eventually begins to pick up in 2014, I am sad to say!
I personally think that this trend was a born success, despite the controversial aspect that fur has, the trend, I believe enabled a type of versatility as you can take this trend form one extreme to another. You can add fur to an outfit simply by a slight trim on your gloves or one of those gorgeous wrap around/snugs which you can get from Topshop for around £20 (even cheaper if you remember to use your student discount card, Bargain!) or you can go all out and by one of those luxury fur coats which clearly as far as I can tell have been redeemed from the 1920's when fur coats were all the fashion.
Personally for me, although I would love a fur coat, just to team with my fav skinny's and Chelsea boots, for me my most loved possession of this trend is my fur hat, which isn't really a hat as it's got a hole in the top of it but never the less it keeps my ears warm in the bitterly cold Yorkshire winds when I'm back at uni and it's spot on trend. These " hats" are available in a variety of different colours and shades, it's just about getting the right colour for you. I wear my black one constantly, just because black simply goes with anything, you don't even have to think about if it goes with your outfit before you walk out the door, you just know.
So is fur a yes or a no for you this season and next season? I shall keep you posted with more trends and styles upcoming in the next few months to keep you ahead of the game.

Ps: If you're looking for another colour other than black to wear as a fur wrap for your head this season why not try grey; and buy a cute pair of mittens or leather gloves to match!

The look of style; 2014 representing fur in a similar way to the 1920's slight coincidence? |
The 1920's; Fur was as much a fashion statement as it is now, just with a touch more 1920's glamour. |
Fur will continue to be a strong trend/style even within the spring months due to the combination of fur with Spring/Summer's pastel colour pallet. |
