Hello New Beginnings!

So as 2013 shuts it's doors and 2014 opens an abundance of others, or so I hope, I thought it was time to start my blogging life. 

I'm completely new to all of this so you'll have to bare with me, however I thought a good place to start would be why my blog is infact called "The girl with the red lips". 

The whole red lipstick statement, bordering obsession, started perhaps just little over a year ago, and now it's my must have with every outfit, my lips feel bare without it on! 

 

Yes I'm that girl you'll find floating around the swimming pool on holiday with her lipstick still fully intact; and after my two trips over sea's in 2013 any member of my family or friendship group could vouch that this actually did happen! I think one of the girls actually did say whilst on holiday "do you sleep with your lipstick on Jess?!"

 

Anyway back to the point, when thinking of a name for the blog, a friend suggested to me one night whilst sat in the pub drinking (as any student/teenager does, perhaps more often than is considered healthy; guilty as charged!) the name "The Girl with the Red Lips." I wanted the name of my blog to be something which people identified me with, and the red lipstick trait was something which many of my friends had already classed as one of my signature looks. So from then on no other name really seemed right, and that's how my blog became "The Girl with the Red Lips."

 

So that's my first blog post I suppose, how did I do? I'll post again in the next few days, hopefully I'll have got more of a hang of it by then!

Ps. In case you were wondering which brand of lipstick I use, it's Maybelline's Kate Moss Collection and it's either shades number 1 or 22!
