A Little Bit of me...

So seeing as I'm actually a fashion student and this is suppose to be a fashion blog I thought I at least needed to start making it look remotely like one and start posting some fashiony things. A Good place to start I thought would be with my own personal style and some of my fav trends and styles right now. So where better to make a start then of course, today's outfit!

Being a fashion student I'm not one to lounge around the house in joggers and a hoody even if all I am doing is sat sketching or lounging in front of the TV, I get up and get dressed everyday as if something's going to happen unexpectedly that would require me to look at least semi-fashionable, and today was no different.

Today's outfit was inspired by some of the upcoming trends which we'll see as the high-street starts to lean more towards the spring/summer collections of this coming year; take my blouse for example the soft grey colour is just one example of the more softer, pastel based colours we'll be seeing in the coming months, the design of the blouse also echoes the more delicate side of fashion through the use of it's peter pan collar which, I must admit, is one of my favourite types of collar shapes.

Although the grey pasteley blouse gives my outfit that feminine touch,  my cord jet black pinafore re-establishes the autumn/winter look of 2013, it is one of my most loved trends coming back into fashion right now, maybe because in someway I feel like I'm reliving my childhood just perhaps in a more fashionable way! The pinafore look will definitely be a look which I think I'll wear until it eventually becomes worn out, I love it that much.

As for my boots, I think they're a must for every fashionista's wardrobe this season, although my mum may say they weren't such a wise investment because of "those holes in the side" they are perhaps one of my favourite pairs of shoes to wear this season and the tastle detailing definitely adds that extra bit of something.

Accessories are also a must this season and every other season for that matter, in my opinion anyway. A simple watch like mine from Urban Outfitters, which I must say is one of those accessories that never gets old, it's world map face, is something which continues to add individuality to any outfit and a gold chain is just a must do because you'll re-wear it over and over again, it'll go with simply anything!

So what do you think of today's outfit and my take on present and upcoming trends? keep me posted!
