Dogtooth and Monochrome

So yesterday it seemed that my new investment attracted rather a lot of attention on instagram (Jessicapepper95), so I thought why not share it on here too. My new dogtooth pencil/body con skirt, of which I must admit, hand on heart is probably the 3rd of my pencil skirt purchases in the days of 2014 alone, I don't think I quite have a problem yet though, right?, was an absolute steal being only £12.50 from the Asos sale with free delivery, what more could a girl ask for really?

The Dogtooth pattern is something which has been fashionista's world wide's favourites for some time now, but I predict that there's still more to see from this particular trend in coming months especially with the new monochrome look just rocking up on our door steps in recent weeks; black and white is something that will never get old.

The thing that I love the most about this particular pattern/print is the fact that you can wear it at practically anytime of the day, it's suitable for a catch up with friends at the pub; in the form of a nice tailored pair of trousers or top, an evening out; in the form of a pencil skirt like my own, or just chilling out at home; in the form of a baggy jumper, which I do believe may have to be my next investment, role on student loan day next Monday!

The other thing which is easy to love about this particular trend is the fact that anyone, any age can wear it. It doesn't scream to you that you have to be below the age of 21 to wear this, perhaps like the velvet trend did earlier this season, it really does lend itself to anyone and everyone.

A few of my fav samples of the dogtooth trend.

So what do you think of my take on the old/ new trend? Keep me updated!
