Black Everything

Well today's blogpost, probably wasn't the best title or outfit to do after yesterday's black inspired blogpost, but it is Autumn now and I no longer frowned upon or expect a slightly weird/strange look when I step out in public, if I'm wearing black day in day out, which if you're a fashion Student it seems to just come naturally, like I swear I don't even do it intentionally, it just happens! Anyway within today's blogpost, I'm going to prove or aim to prove, that wearing all black on a regular basis, very often by coincidence in my case,  isn't you saying that you're a "goth" now and that you'll never wear any other colour in your life again, but actually that it looks crazy good and so elegant and effort free that not to wear all black on occasions, is simply a crime against fashion!

Now just because, in today's case, all the garments which I've paired together as an outfit are all black, this doesn't mean that you still can't have fun with it, you just have to do it in another way! The way in which you can still incorporate something different into your "all black" look is simply by changing up the textures and materials which you pair up and team together, which immediately sets of the look and stops the garments that you're wearing from blending into each other because they are the same colour! With this in mind lets take a look at how I've achieved this within today's OOTD.

This all black look is casual yet makes a statement and mixes a variety of different textures and fabrics so as the individual garments don't blend in together.

Black and white Knitted Jumper - Primark - £8
So starting from the top of the body and working my way down as usual, although this knitted cropped jumper from Primark isn't fully black, it adds just a little bit of something different to today's outfit with colour but also with it's texture. Knitted jumpers like this one, are great for this time of year and are so easy to throw on that not to want to wear them all the time this time of year, really does come as a struggle to me, hence why I've got so many!

Fur Collar - Matalan - £12, Leather Jacket - TKMaxx - £25
Now as you'll all know if you read last week's blogpost on my winter essentials, I find it impossible to go through this time of year without my trusted leather jacket and some sort of fur ensemble like this fur collar or even a fur band hat which were all the rage last Fall and are still making a pretty big impact this year! Now these two combined create a casual yet stylish look, which always makes me feel like I look like a rock/biker chic crossed with a Flapper girl from the 1920's. The two garments/trends really do compliment each other well and yet again add two more textures and fabrics to this all black outfit.

High - Waisted Black Skinny Jeans - Primark - £10

My black skinny's are my favourite, favourite pair of jeans at the minute, after I finally replaced them after tragically catching the seam in one of the legs and ripping my old pair about a month back now in which I think I actually cried! Black skinny's, I believe are something which everybody should have in their wardrobe as they NEVER go out of fashion and they're so easy to team with just about anything and everything! Plus these cotton pair of skinny's add yet again another texture and fabric to today's all black look!

Flats - Primark - £10
Finally are my newbie's which I brought also whilst in Sheffield doing that all important Primary Research for my latest design project at the weekend! These shoes are a great accessory to any outfit and immediately make you feel just that little bit more girly by wearing them, which with an all black outfit sometimes you need, depending on what mood you're in and although my mum always say's this style of shoe reminds her of my school shoes I used to have when I was 5, they are all the fashion right now and I honestly wouldn't know where I would be without mine!

So that's how you create an all black look whilst still adding texture and different fabrics too it, so as it doesn't all blend into one so you can avoid looking  like a massive black blob! I'll be back again tomorrow and this time I'll promise to remember to add just that little bit more of colour.
