Wish List Wednesday; Asos edition

Now it's getting to that time of year again where Christmas is vastly approaching and before we know it, another year will have been and gone and passed us all within a blink of an eye as it normally does. But, before we see in the New Year again, there's a very important call of business which must be addressesed; the Christmas list of course! With being a fashion student buying clothes and shoes and other fashion accessories to make my up my various outfits and keeping up with the latest trends and styles is a weekly thing for me, when it comes to Christmas I still get excited about the prospect of new clothes! Because, lets face it, there's always atleast one item of clothing or a bag of some kind, that you've had your eye on for a few months now but couldn't bare to part you own cash with because you know it would cost you your weekly budget for the next month or so, but you can guarantee it'll be the first thing you put on your Christmas list for your mum and dad to buy this year! Am I right, or am I right?

Anyway with this in mind, and it being of course wish list Wednesday again, I've gone full circle and decided to go back to the beginning where wish list Wednesday started and repay a visit to one of my favourite brands Asos. Now with Asos being founded in 2000, the brand has grown and flourished to become an online sensation as is one of my first stops for any occasion wear or majorly important items when I'm shopping. With this in mind, here's a few of Asos' new just in's, which are either perfect for making it onto your Christmas list this year or even just treating yourself to that sneaky Christmas present to yourself from yourself as a high five for managing to get through the first term of uni all over again!

Starting with one of the perhaps more pricey garments on today's wish list, this beautiful woollen, tailored coat is one which I haven't seen any remotely like anywhere else this season. Now with the trend of silhouettes for this years winter coats being either an oversized boy fit, generally just oversized or tailored, this particular jacket combines a two in one by being both tailored by oversized at the same time, which I personally love! The colour of this coat is also something which I can't say I've seen much of this season, but I love, as I believe it would give any outfit a rustic glow of such and this is perfect for the colder months.

Now nobody's wardrobe, no matter what the season is completely without a crisp white blouse like this one! I love, love, love the simplicity of plain white shirts just because I believe it adds a touch of smartness to any casual outfit and you immediately just feel that little bit more important than you otherwise would simply wearing a T-shirt. Now white sleeveless shirt's like this one, are a god send during this time of year as they're perfect for layering up with jumpers and with white going with just about every colour the fashion industry has to offer you this season, you can team it with multiple jumpers to your hearts content.

So anyone whose anyone knows how big a fan I am of high -waisted skinny jeans, and these black acid wash once or no acception! Although I am slightly upset at the thought of not being able to get my Beyoncé booty into them, because there is no kidding myself into believing that my bum and thighs are classed as "petite" in any way, shape or form. But for you petite, and therefore lucky, ones out there, these jeans are perfect if you're looking for something just a little different from your usual plain black skinny's and they'll still go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe which is a massive bonus and selling point!

Next are something which everybody has, every year on their Season must buy's, new winter boots! Now there are a variety of different and new styles of winter boots which have hit the high-street this season, and although I do particularly like the high, chunky heeled slip on ankle boots which seem to be everywhere at the minute, I still love the pixie style ankle boot, with the cut out side! I had a pair of boots like this last year and honestly wore them to death as they went with pretty much everything I owned which is the beauty of having a pair of black winter boots that are bang on trend because A, Black goes with everything you wear and B. if they're bang on trend you can't help but to wear them as often as possible!

So everyone will know, or everyone that is a frequent reader of my blog will know, that halter/high necked tops like this one, are one of my favourite styles of top to wear all year round! The reason why? because they're just so simple and easy to wear and like most black garments, go with everything and anything which is a bonus; they look good with jeans, skirts, high-waisted shorts, you name it you can team it with a plain halter neck top like this one and it'll be something which you pull out of your wardrobe to wear more often than not, all year round and for £10 I definitely think its worth the investment!

Sometimes its the simple cut silhouettes that look the best on and this high neck bodycon dress is no exception! This style of dress is so easy to wear both casually and formally especially during the colder months, as the colour is spot on for this time of year! Now if you're not a fan of high necked garments like this bodycon dress and the high necked top before, I beg that you at least try something on which does have one because I used to hate the thought of having something tight around my neck and now I don't know what Id do without this silhouette style in my wardrobe.

Now leather/biker jackets are something which I've always been a massive fan of and are great to wear, once again, all year around, but this particular biker jacket is specifically made for those colder days and this time of year! The faux fur collar is something which has been added and adapted to the typically normal silhouette of a biker jacket and I must say I love it! Now if you don't want to spend this much on one of these stylish oversized biker jacket's, then they have loads of similar ones on the high street for a lower price so don't panic because you can still get your hands on one even if you're a poor student like me!

Now like I've already said sometimes its the simple, little things that make the biggest impact and the lazer cut hem on this particular design of top is one of them! Although without the detailing on this top it would otherwise be a simple basic white t-shirt, the lazer cut hem immediately adds something different to it and I can honestly say I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it asap, so if anyone's reading this and struggling with what to get me for Christmas then hint hint!

From one white garment to the next, is this beautiful cut out bodycon dress which like everything else I ever seem to put on these wish list's I fell in love with straight away when I was scrolling through the Asos app looking for inspiration and goodies to lust over because I can't afford to buy them all! Now some people aren't daring enough to wear white, but if you can get this style in another colour such as black I believe it would make a great New Years eve dress, because lets face facts you want to start 2015 with a bang and also by looking super hot!

Now if tis jumper doesn't scream Christmas at you then I don't know what will! like last year we see that the formidable glitter garment shave made a way back into our fashion must have list's and I can say I am rather partial to odd glittery pencil skirt or two as I feel, like most other people do I assume, that glitter garments are only acceptable to get away with this time of year and this jumper is the perfect excuse to get more in the festive spirit!

From making a statement with full on glitter jumpers to keeping it simple with this lace edged playsuit, you can't argue that Asos isn't offering a wide selection of party clothes for you this Christmas season! The reason why this particular playsuit made it on to my wish list this time, was simply because of the low back neck cut which I just think is so stylish and elegant and is something that more dresses and playsuits should have, plus the lace edging is just too die for. So if you're looking for something a little different to mix it up this festive season, then this is the garment for you.

Now I'm not usually one for baggy T-shirt dresses like this one because I always think that I look massive in anything but a bodycon silhouette something or other, but the detailing on this dress is something which I love and can't seem to get enough of! Although the power mesh sections are such a simple way to add detailing to a dress, I think that it really gives the dress a completely different look and style in comparison to if it was just one block colour/material. Because of this, I may just be tempted  into trying out a t-shirt style silhouette.

So that's today's Asos wish list Wednesday done once again, I hope that you've found some inspiration in my picks and may have a few more key items which you want to add to your Christmas list this year, or have a better understanding on what type of dress you want for the Christmas party this year, but that is it for today! I'll be back tomorrow with more fashion related news for you!
