My Top 3 Winter Essentials

So instead of doing my marketing research for my report which is due at the end of next month, I've still got a while I know, but the next 6 weeks I can guarantee, are going to go by within a blink of an eye, I decided to procrastinate a little bit more and blog instead! And the best thing about it is I don't feel the least bit guilty about it at all! Anyway today's blogpost is not my usual OTTD style blogpost, because to be truthful with you, I only got out of my PJ's half an hour ago thanks to this wonderful Autumn bug that I seem to have gained just recently and have just thrown on some comfy clothes which aren't very outfit inspiring...so instead I'm going to give you the run down on my top 3 winter essentials.

With me being under the weather in more ways than one recently, I sat for way too many hours scrolling through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest this morning, as I'm sure many of you do as part of your daily morning routine, but anyway I was scrolling through instagram when I found this quote " Fur, Leather & Lipstick" and then the person who posted it had entitled it "Winter Essentials" and I thought Yes! If I could summarise my winter essentials into three, then they would be the three! This has then therefore lead to today's blog topic and post! So with this said I'm going to look tell you exactly why Fur, Leather and Lipstick are my three "Winter Essentials" and how exactly you can make them you're three winter must haves this season!
 

Lipstick;

 

 

 

So it really goes without saying, but my first winter essential is Lipstick! Now it's not only just one of my Winter essentials but it's also one of my year round essentials I literally can't live without my red lipstick and many of my friends, class friends and even lecturers will tell you that they've probably never seen me without lipstick on! But why is it a winter essential? Lipstick for me, is a winter essential as not only does it keep your lips nice and bright and colourful during the darker, colder period of the year but it also is a saint in disguise for keeping your lips nice and moist! Because lets face facts cracked/dry lips are definitely not attractive! Plus I always feel 10x better when I've got lipstick on, especially if you're one for wearing all black OOTD's all the time, guilty as charged, because it just adds that little bit of colour to your outfit pallet.

Fur; 

 

So my second winter essential is fur, now fur can be very controversial when it comes to fashion, but I would like to point out that I am very against any type of animal cruelty in order to wear it as a fashion statement/garment, however fake fur I love! It gives exactly the same desired effect as what real fur does, just without the horrible cruelty of animals! Now fur accessories/garment winter essentials for me are most definitely fur had wrap's, I've got 3 or 4 in various different colours and they never fail to keep my ears warm during the colder days and also fur collars/wraps are also a must as they just give any look a bit more of a winter twist! Fur coats are also great...If you have the funds for one and I'd just like to point out fur isn't just for Women, Men can look equally as good rocking this winter essential!

 

 

Leather;

Finally is my third and final winter Essential; Leather. Now a little like lipstick, I am definitely partial to wearing my most favoured piece of leather, my leather jacket all year round! Especially with living in England it tends to be cold more times than it is warm throughout the yearly weather cycle and therefore a leather jacket is an essential to have in your wardrobe! Now for winter, leather is great as you can team it with fur like a fur collar or a hat and you can also wear a variety of different garments made out of this favoured material such as the famous leather jacket but also leather pencil skirts are all the rage this season and who am I to not follow a trend?
